Digital Legacy Protection: A futuristic Vision Made into Reality
As a technology partner, BIGFORMULA Solutions proudly presents ‘tejouri’ – the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts’ latest digital document repository that is both a cloud vault and an online safe.
Legacy. It is probably one of the things we rarely think about. But there is no denying that particularly in the last couple of years, the idea of it, or at least a vague concern surrounding it has been forming somewhere in the back of our minds. However morbid the thought, we all have been forced to consider some difficult questions: ‘What will I leave behind?’, ‘What happens to my family after my death?’, ‘How can I protect my children’s future even when I am not there?’, or ‘How can I best prepare myself and my family for the worst?’.
Legacy Planning for the Digital Age
Insurance schemes, estate planning and asset protection services answer most of the regular questions; but the booming digital age poses some tougher questions that are harder to ignore. With institutions and businesses moving their services online and automating several processes including those surrounding Will management and estate planning, questions about protection of the digital information and necessary functionalities that make sure that the right people receive access at the right time are dominating the discourse around Digital Legacy. Protecting that legacy is just as important as planning it.
Introducing tejouri: A Digital Vault for Legacy & Estate Safe Keeping
To that end, BIGFORMULA Solutions is proud to present ‘tejouri’ – the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts’ latest platform that serves as a digital document repository for lifetime safekeeping. Propelling itself as the ‘digital home for legacy’, tejouri enables users to upload and store a range of documents from insurance contracts, title deeds, Wills, and financial certificates, to images and multimedia files. Uploaded files are secured using multiple factors of authentication, encrypted data, biometric information, and safe keeping ledgers through advanced cryptography. It uses Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to ensure that designated stakeholders are allowed access to the documents only at the right time. tejouri is the unique digital document repository that functions simultaneously as a cloud vault and an online safe for data. It is supported by a state-of-the-art onsite DIFC data centre and a secondary UAE-based backup data centre. Access to all data is restricted to the ‘vault holder’ and the listed intended recipients, guaranteeing zero knowledge proof privacy principles.
BIGFORMULA’s Shared Role in tejouri’s Development
As one of the technology partners of the endeavour, we, at BIGFORMULA have had the pleasure of collaborating with multiple experts in the industry to ensure that tejouri addresses the pressing concerns surrounding legacy storage and security. The global repository that was recently launched at GITEX Global, with live demonstrations of its functionalities, was built with the support of the HBAR Foundation, specialists in building Distributed Ledger Technology ecosystems. tejouri uses Hedera technology to construct a bespoke DLT architecture and establish access to a decentralised trust application. With Deca4 Advisory road-mapping the tejouri service experience, BIGFORMULA Solutions developed the underlying software which allows users to register and access their vaults.
With the world of technology constantly evolving, and tech-experts constantly trying to gain the lead over themselves, with tejouri, we got a rare peek into technological advancement at its best and the highly sophisticated digital future that awaits us. Not only did we get the opportunity to develop a safe keeping platform that prioritises data security, but we also learnt the importance of such a system and the larger role it would play in the digital community of the future. It truly has been a profound journey – one that we hope is all but a steppingstone to a secure and safe online environment for all.
